An epic where the brothers Martínez Novas narrate a year of permanence on the Himalayan mountains, The Abode of the Gods. On that place, in very poor conditions and with a climbing style as lightweight as possible, sans high altitude porters and bottled oxygen, they have visited eight mountains of more than eight thousand meters (one of them in wintertime). They reached five of these summits.

     In the course of a year, and supporting very hard conditions in many occasions, they return without any physical sequel. Many specialist high altitude doctors doubted that it was possible to stay for a year at altitude.

     The project where we first intended to reach the 14 highest peaks in the world over a year is too far now. On one hand, the lack of economical means has not permitted to face the project as it had been planned from the beginning, having to improvise very often, and we have to add to all this the specially bad weather during this year.
