Approach

     The 2nd August, at basecamp on the Hidden Peak, the weather was good when the day broke.

     We packed our gear for the porters to carry. That day we were told that there were no new from the Japanese who were attempting to summit the Hidden.

On the dotted line, the route of approach followed to reach basecamp on Broad Peak.

     On the following day, we left together with Ibrahim, the cook, for the basecamp on the Broad Peak. Our equipment was reduced to two tents and food for a week. At basecamp was only a Japanese and his high altitude porter. The expeditions attempting to reach this summit had retreated days before.
