Mt Cho-Oyu summit
Ascent route followed to summit
the Cho-Oyu.

The ascent of Cho-Oyu was longer than usual, as we started it from Nepalese territory.

Ascent

Shortly after having begun the ascent, a strong wind compelled us to stop at 6700m. On the following day we reached Camp III (7600m). The trail left by the group that had climbed the mountain a month before eased our ascent. From the glacier, Álex could shoot the climb.

At daybreak on the 6th , we left for the summit. When we started the ascent, I began to feel clear symptoms of freezing, so I opted to go back. Weather conditions did not seem to be very unsuitable, so Jesús went further on his own to tread on the summit and he was back to the tent by 5.00pm.

On the descent, we observed again with sorrow rubbish spread on the snow after having passed by Camp II more than 150 mountaineers a month ago.
