     In winter 1994, came to us the idea of ascending the 14 highest summits in the world in the course of a year. The summits, over 8000m, involve an exceptional sports beauty and they are valued at best by alpinists and sport men and women in general. But nobody had ever fulfilled, not even proposed, such a challenge.

	At basecamp on the Kangchenjunga the snow covered the parabolic antenna which permitted the pictures to be transmitted by satellite.

     The defiance also introduced an innovative tracking system for the live transmission of the exploit, taking advantage of new worldwide telecommunication systems, ensuring a great impact at low cost.
